Centaur Asset Management, the Dubai-based international asset management and investment advisory division of Centaur Holdings, has confirmed the appointment of Rose Omundi to Corporate Counsel. This is the latest in a series of senior-level appointments across the business.
Prior to moving to the UAE, Rose was based in Kenya and worked for one of the leading banks in Kenya as a Senior Legal Counsel and Company Secretary to two of the bank’s subsidiary companies. Over the course of her career, she has amassed practical experience in corporate, commercial law, banking sector governance, regulatory and compliance issues and procedures. She has been involved in drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts, structuring loan transactions and security arrangements.
Rose is a qualified advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over eight years post qualification experience. She also possesses Company secretarial law and practice qualifications and experience being a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya. She is also a Member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya) Branch.
Before undertaking her professional career, Rose was educated at the University of Nairobi, where she achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology, as well as a Bachelor of Law in Banking, Corporate, Finance and Securities Law.
